Lovebyrd.com exists for the purpose of providing an interactive online community for disabled singles and other adults who generally have a more difficult time finding a partner in life, or finding friends who understand and support them, because of a disability or condition with which they live. Lovebyrd.com is not limited to any single disability type, challenge group or condition.

Our members include adults with physical disabilities such as amputees, paraplegics, adults living with conditions such as cerebral palsy, muscular dystrophy, multiple sclerosis, adults living with mental and emotional conditions such as depression, social anxiety disorder, adults living with obesity, skin disorders and other conditions that make it more difficult for them to meet others. Lovebyrd.com recognizes that some disabled singles prefer not to limit their options only to other disabled persons; so non-disabled persons wanting to be a part of the lovebyrd.com community are welcome to join.

Privacy Policy

LoveByrd.com does not publish any sensitive data about any member publicly on our website. We require the registration of a public screenname by which other members will know you. You are advised in creating your public screenname not to use your real name. We also require the registration of a separate username. This username is the name you will use when you login to the members area of the site; but your username remains known only to you. Members will know you by your screenname. We strongly advice that you never share your username and password with others as they will be able to login to the site as you and access your account information.

We require your email address for the purpose of validation. A real email address is required in order to access your member account. You will not be able to log on to the site before you activate your membership; and you will not be able to activate your membership without the activation code that will be sent to your email address when you register. Your email address is never publicly displayed on the website. We use a blind emailing system that hides your email address from members who contact you. We are not responsible for your choice to share your personal information, including your email, in your communications with other members. We do not sell, rent or in any way disclose any personal information of any existing members.

System Requirements

It is recommended that you use a version of the Internet Explorer or Netscape browser that is 4.0 or higher and java enabled. Before you register be sure that you are using a javascript capable browser as there are parts of the registration process that use javascript and if your browser cannot handle javascript you will have difficulty registering. Users who have difficulty registering should contact the administrator for instructions on how to submit their information for manual addition to the database.
